I went for local missions the whole of last week from the 11th to 16th of June. The team comprising of: Wei Liang(leader), Andrea, Michele, Amanda, Abigail Wong, Benjamin, Abigail Foo and ME. In order of age, oldest first.

Day 1, Monday, 11th June 2007:
We went to a muslim lady's (Hasnah) house to paint her hall, kitchen and kitchen ceiling yellow. Just before lunch, I started painting Amanda Fan's leg. And we ended up painting each other's legs and Wei Liang's shirt. His AC chess club shirt.. There was a picture of the chess piece called a "knight" which is a horse at the back which turned into a white and yellow horse. We had lunch with Vicky and our helpers, Chee Lip and Noelle. Funny thing is that Chee Lip thought that the house painting Wei Liang was referring to was painting a picture of a house on paper or canvas. Then he wore such nice clothes which got dirty thanks to us. Michelle Jane came to help us with the communication after lunch.

Day 2, Tuesday, 12th June 2007:
Painted the house of Pei Lian Huat, a taoist lady. We painted her hall white ice, which apparently is green. With the help of Lizanne, Min Xian, Michelle Jane, Joshua and Chee Lip we managed to finish painting by lunch time. Chee Lip wore his jeans that got dirty from Day 1's painting. We only painted the hall so it was easier besides for the taoist altar that was so heavy. Luckily we had the older, and of course stronger, guys namely Joshua, Chee Lip and Wei Liang to carry the altar and lift it away from the wall. Me and Abi Wong started painting Joshua's shirt. First I painted his arm and then we painted his shirt which was so so fun. Yea, but I bullied him quite some. He's lucky that I didn't bully him as much as Wei Liang.

Then, the team left for BASC without the helpers. We did the "hands" mime and played some games with them. The kids went completely out of control. And all that we planned turned out to last shorter than expected. In the end, they played by themselves. Disaster. So we talked to Auntie Serene and she gave us a few tips on how to handle the kids.

Day 3, Wednesday, 13th June 2007:
We were supposed to paint Yeo Swat Ying's house, but she was ill and we couldn't paint her house. So with the help of Lizanne, Min Xian, Michelle Jane, Joshua and Shawn, we cleaned up kopi-stop which was so dusty. While they were cleaning the floor, I started playing at the exercise area and hung upside down. Got a rhyme by Wei Liang for doing that; "Nat the fat bat fell flat on her back". It's all wrong because I didn't fall and I'm not Fat! After that we just went back to church and slacked there..

Day 4, Thursday, 14th June 2007:
Went to Connaught Drive to distribute the packs with Bibles, Jesus films and some booklets in them. That was in the morning. After that, we took 2 cabs back to church and prepared to leave for BASC. I took care of the P1s and 2s and Kosi who was K2. They were so noisy, funny and very very naughty. They played Blow-wind-blow, duck-duck-goose and Ice & water. When I moved them to the Ice&water station, Matthew stepped in mud and I had to bring him back to wash his shoe. Not long after, Luke fell down and started crying. So I brought him back so that Auntie Sarah could take care of him. After that, the team played captain's cabbage and captain's banana. We also played monkey with the cabbage. The cabbage became 2 times smaller than when it started. So we had to clean up.. I peeled one banana and started playing with it. Wiped my hands all over Wei Liang's shirt.

Day 5, Friday, 15th June 2007:
We went to Connaught Drive to distribute the packs, when it started raining. I love running in the rain! It was a real blessing to see one guy take the whole box of packs to distribute to his tour mates in the bus when the tour guide was pestering him to stop. We ended up taking 2 cabs back to church when Wei Liang blessed the cab driver with one pack after talking to him throughout the ride back to church. Prayer walk at night.

Day 6, Saturday, 16th June:
Played Bingo with the residents at the block and helped wrap some stuff for BASC. Then, Wei Liang treated us to Pizza and we went super high. Then, something happened which I would rather not talk about, that made me upset. And soon, Abi wong came back. That was when the trouble started.
We followed Wei Liang all around church until we felt bad and started looking for him to apologise. Searched the whole church. We saw Michele come out from the lift. We asked her where Wei Liang was, but she said she went to the toilet and didn't know where he was. We searched the stairs and heard the door slam shut. So we went to the carpark and kept shouting "Sorry". He didn't hear us, so we asked Mike (the security guard) where he was. Mike told us that he was on the second floor with two people so we tried opening all the doors of the second floor but none of them opened. We felt so angry so we decided to write a note to Wei Liang on the whiteboard telling him that we were angry and going to run away. Since they ran away from us, we can do the same.

So we got Mike to open the gate for us. We went outside with amanda, abi foo and Ben. We would have stayed outside longer if not for ben who kept telling us about the dangers of being out late. We knew he would rat us out. So we waved frantically but Mike didn't see us so me abi wong and ben climbed through the gate and entered the lift to get Mike. We went down the lift and saw Wei Liang talking to Mike so we decided to go back up.

In the end we just shot Wei Liang with everything. Me and abi wong broke into tears while talking about it. I still feel bad about shooting him. And afterall, this is his first time leading a group where everyone is younger than he is and the 2 youngest members were 10 years younger than he was. He couldn't smile at night because we kept shooting him. He did the "thank you" smile to comfort us in the end. But I feel so bad.. This was a learning experience for all of us. Especially me..

This is NATalie, the narcissistic little girl. This girl is smarter than she looks and dumber than she speaks. She knows that she is very crazy very often because she can get high on nothing. Natalie can choose to be super duper; friendly, high, emo, silent, shy and happy as she has many different personalities. She is proud to be a golfer and glad to be a musician.

Natalie loves her oboe and her 1974 Morris guitar, Jayden. Of course, she loves her close friends. She obviously enjoys listening to music and playing it, especially in a band. (ie. Drumsticks&Tulips) Natalie has fun playing sports. She loves watching her idol Rory Mcilroy (NIR) play golf! In case you didn't know, she supports Liverpool and Steven Gerrard. Admittedly, she is addicted to her Kpop idol, ChoiJongHoon and his band, FT Island. Natalie's favourite colours are purple, pink and blue. Nat <3 YOU! (cause someone is ACTUALLY reading her blog)
