I guess it is goodbye to the beloved 2e1’07 we’ve known for 2 years. To me, it’s quite a hard goodbye. The truth or dare games are the signature which I use to remember this fantastic class. The whole class wouldn’t be complete without every one of you. I guess I don’t want to split up as a class. Why must this be? The class party really bonded us together and it’s a pity that we had it so late because now, when we want to bond, we can’t. It’s not that our class couldn’t be bonded; it’s that we just weren’t. It was so easy to bond with our class people who went to pulau ubin. That’s how I actually got to know Zhen Lu and Azmin more. I used to never talk to Zhen Lu or Azmin, but after that few hours of rain, we managed to bond and share *ahem*’s secret with those in our class who went.

The thick and thin with Kwee and Bear are the most long lasting memories I’ll ever have. Can’t believe we’re not going to the same class. Lenny go 3E1, Kwee to 3E2 and me to 3E4. It doesn’t matter because we’ll still live together in our big mansion. Me with my pets, Kwee with her family and Lenny with her bears! And of course our shared prized instrument collection! It’s hardest to say goodbye to Kwee. Lenny, at least we’re still in band together. Kwee, I’ll miss singing Mr. Roger Rabbit with you when we’re bored or high. So this is dedicated to you:

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

And a flip and a flap and it flew away.

Glory glory, hallelujah.

Glory glory, hallelujah.

Glory glory, hallelujah.

And a flip and a flap and it flew away.

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.

And a flip and a flap and it flew away.

Liang ge shen jing bing zai chang ge.

Liang ge shen jing bing zai chang ge.

Liang ge shen jing bing zai chang ge.

And a flip and a flap and it flew away.

Will miss singing that with you. Lunch with me on Mondays ok?

Why does the education system forbid 2E1 from staying together as one? Why does MOE have to split us up by class?

Oh Lord, it is for the better for all of us. Lord, keep them in my memories and keep Me, Kwee and Lenis close so that we may live our lives as we have planned, unless You plan otherwise.

Who could have guessed that after all that listening to Simple Plan for the umpteenth time, I got bored of it. I guess you can get bored of Simple Plan. I uploaded more songs into my ipod yesterday and came across 3 fantastic band songs only today called "Awakes As A Bear", "Wilderness Of Danger And Beauty" and "Three Brothers" from my Brother Bear soundtrack. I saw the word 'score', but I didn't know they'd turn out to be (symphonic/concert) band songs. I especially like "Awakes As A Bear" because it has so many oboe solos. How cool is that? Therefore, I conclude that (symphonic/concert) band songs are definitely better and far more entertaining compared to bands like Simple Plan.

Firstly, a great big sorry to all church people. I was in church yesterday with my cousin, but my cousin didn't want to go through the whole "Looks like we have a new comer" thing during cluster, so we sat through Junior Church. I was only in church at around the E2 timing which is about the timing for cell. But still to all those people who looked for me, if any, sorry. To Boon: I'm still holding on to your 1 Corinthians 11-14 book, the one to help you lead cell. Do you want it back or not? I couldn't find you yesterday.

Today is the start of the school holidays. And according to Wei Liang it is derived from "holy days" so I'd have to keep these days holy. I have to go to school later. Poor me. I need to go back because the first draft isn't ready. This time, the games are rather different. Hopefully the band will like it. A lot of bonding activities. it'll be fun if you are enthusiastic about it. I promise. We have little time till the actual camp so it's quite rushed.

Haven't told everybody my subject combination decision yet, first, 3e4C, then, 3e4B, and lastly, (waste my last choice) 3e2A. I want to take D&T, but my mother wants me to take F&N. So F&N is my second choice. Now there's a new rule that MOE enforced, to be promoted you need English, MATHS, and 2 other subjects. So I need to fight for a job in future. No maths cannot live. I still have Kwee Kwee. We can set up a business together, as we said before. Live with Kwee and Bear in our mansion and our instrument collection. I want 3 oboes! But our business must be a good, money making idea. Like Macdonald's or Toys 'R' Us. We can climb the ladder to the top! Strive for the Million Dollar Round Table like my Daddy! Our $1,000,000 aim!

Had science enrichment program on Wednesday about nuclear energy. It was super funny. I went high with Mr. Roger Rabbit (me and kwee kwee's "theme song"). Then I started incorporating the nuclear energy stuff into the song. And it became our presentation song. The actions were HILARIOUS. It went something like this:

Mr. Roger Rabbit had a fly upon his nose.
The radioactive gases reached Roger on his nose.
The fly's lifespan was reduced by 15 minutes then.
And no flip and no flip and the fly just died.

Chorus:

Nuclear energy is cheap,
Nuclear energy is efficient,
Nuclear energy is safe,
But no flip and no flap and the flap and the fly just died.

Nuclear fission makes heat;

Heat turns water into steam.
Steam turns turbines and generators,
And the electrical power goes around the country.

Repeat Chorus

Anyway, on Thursday, after Mr. Khairunan's farewell concert, we played a lot of Dai di with Cindy and Jeovana. Lenis left half-way and the 3 of us got Jia Yan addicted to Dai di. Well, that was our last day as 2E1. Will miss 2E1 '07. Then celebrated Hidayah and Cherie's birthday. Cherie thought that we were only celebrating Hidayah's birthday and Hidayah thought that she needed to meet Ms Goh with me. Funny thing is that after we sang Happy Birthday to Hidayah, she still thought we needed to meet Ms Goh. Then I had to go like "Bah no. It was just so that you will get distracted". She looked so relieved. Funny girl.

Thursday night was the 2nd most exciting night I've experienced so far.(besides the night I was locked inside my father's room with lots of our cousins and a PS) Tammy was sleeping in the boy's room and Stefan pressed the door lock and slammed the door. Locking the keys and a sleeping Tammy in his room. If she didn't wake, both she and my older brother wouldn't be able to go to school. Older brother's uniform is inside. We tried cracking the lock to open the door but nothing worked. We even wanted to climb through the window, but it was too high up. So, my father kept banging the door and trying to get my sister to wake up. Solution: Prayer. God works MIRACLES. My sister managed to wake up in the morning on time. And all went smoothly. We didn't even need to wake the neighbours up. THANK GOD!

Then yesterday, Meet the parents’ session was great. Ms Goh told my mother that I was trying but she didn't know why the results weren't good. THANK YOU MS GOH! If she didn't say anything, my mother probably wouldn't have believed that I study. She always thinks I still don't study. If Ms Goh can see that I'm trying and she can't, then she should come home in the afternoon. Anyway, my father was telling me how I should try to be the best and not compare to the cohort when he himself was telling me how badly I did compared to the cohort. CONTRADICTORY! My Chinese passed overall with a C5! Even better and not because of tuition. Tuition doesn't help. It's because of the constant guidance from Zhang lao shi and Xu lao shi that allowed me to do well. Thank You! My overall percentage went up by 2.3%. Mostly getting pulled down by my arts subjects. Dang nab it! Ate brownies at Cafe Cartel at night. Not sure if it was to celebrate or what.

Thank You God for pulling me through!

Today's rap competition so weird. I looked like a guy. *omg* And they didn't shout "we love you Natalie!" You said you would shout that out. And help us bang stuff [stamp stamp clap]. Anyway, we didn't win anything for our rap which was actually really a poem. And our rap went like this:

[stamp stamp clap, stamp stamp clap]

O’yea! Lion city, filled with unity,
Chinese, Indian, Malay, Eurasian,
Shake hands, make friends,
What is harmony?

O’yea! Lion city, made of unity,
Chinese, Indian, Malay, Eurasian,
Here in Singapore,
Old stories shall unfold.

There stands the Merlion,
Poised, proud, alone.
Inviting tourists from all countries,
Smiling faces one by one.

<--- no more stamping and clapping --->

So… what’s that place?

[Drum Roll]

SENTOSA!!!

And island full of fun, an island bathed by sun.
People of all skin colours tanning on the beach,
Come have a coconut and a sandwich!

Here comes the Chinese, and the lion beast.
Gong Xi Fa Cai, Hong Bao Na Lai!
Hear the hawkers shout and scream!

[Drum roll]

Malays, grill satays, sipping Teh Tarik.
Hari Raya, perfect time for Nasi Lemak!
Kampong Glam, very brightly lit up.
Go back in time to the “Kampong Days”!

Little India, coconut oil, henna painting for delight.
Pretty peacock feathers, all can have, DON’T FIGHT!
More jasmine garlands and bright silk saris,
Definitely dazzling for you to behold!

HOHOHO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Here comes Santa, full of presents.
Ride the reindeer, fly with power!
Go to sleep! Do not PEEP!

<--- stamping and clapping begins again --->

[stamp stamp clap, stamp stamp clap]

O’yea! Lion city, live in harmony.
Say “NO” to conflicts!
Say “YES” to happy living!
We have peace! People like it!

Singapore, just like rojak.
Many people, many colours.
We have Singlish, made from English.
That’s just uniquely SINGAPORE!!!

After the rap, when we didn't win, I felt as if I had just let down our class. Sorry 2E1.. We did our best ya? If that's enough, then ok. If it's not enough, really really sorry. Well, you win some, you lose some.

Sight reading during band. The Peanut Vendor or something like that. The song is like so cute! The song is our encore piece or something like that. It's a cool piece. We're going to get a new piece, J'POP. Some weird piece. I saw it already. (asst. librarian's priviledge) Seems pretty difficult though. I want a new reed now. Jun Kai brushed his pants against my reed and chipped it. Lixin is my witness! And he doesn't even want to admit. I'm not making him pay for a new reed or anything. I'll forgive him if he just apologises which he just refuses to do because he shrugs off responsibility. Well, been rather busy today.

Realised that some things must really be procrastinated. Quote Oliver when Shan Hui wanted to lock up "Thursday thursday". I still have so many things to learn about being an asst librarian. So many things going on in the library, Nicholas Ong in higher chinese then I must be the representative. (Ryan could you have helped me?) When I thought "I'm finally free for a while" I realised the symphonic band technique hadn't been taken out, and then collect consent form, set up stand and oboe. Was rushing the whole of band, didn't even count the games i/c meeting before band. I'm busy only on band days. Report for band at 1.30 on thurday. I'd better remember.

And I thought I was going to be free.

SJSM. Elaine's Cluster. Evelyn's cell.

This is NATalie, the narcissistic little girl. This girl is smarter than she looks and dumber than she speaks. She knows that she is very crazy very often because she can get high on nothing. Natalie can choose to be super duper; friendly, high, emo, silent, shy and happy as she has many different personalities. She is proud to be a golfer and glad to be a musician.
Lastly, Natalie hopes to see you tag her blog.

mostLOVED

Natalie loves her oboe and her 1974 Morris guitar, Jayden. Of course, she loves her close friends. She obviously enjoys listening to music and playing it, especially in a band. (ie. Drumsticks&Tulips) Natalie has fun playing sports. She loves watching her idol Rory Mcilroy (NIR) play golf! In case you didn't know, she supports Liverpool and Steven Gerrard. Admittedly, she is addicted to her Kpop idol, ChoiJongHoon and his band, FT Island. Natalie's favourite colours are purple, pink and blue. Nat <3 YOU! (cause someone is ACTUALLY reading her blog)
